Alternate Universe

Every once in awhile, I come up with an idea that's too outrageous, or so blatantly violates the canon, that it couldn't possibly fit into the context of the arc. These are 'What if?' stories, ideas that wouldn't go away until I'd written them. Some would have been fun to see onscreen, others would have been too heartbreaking. But this is where I can experiment outside the lines drawn by the canon. Check your 'serious' fandom mind at the door and give them a try.

  • Swapped: Humour. PG-13. One unplanned detour later, and Purdey and Gambit just aren't themselves...
  • See You Fall: Tragedy/Angst. 14A. For once, Gambit didn't make it in time...
  • Forgetting: Mystery/Romance. PG-13. An anonymous call at half-past ten, Mike Gambit's dead body, kidnapping. All in within an hour, and it's only the start of a very long, very strange day for Steed, Gambit, and Purdey--or whoever they are.
  • The Question: Angst/Romance. 14A. An experiment of sorts, taking an alternate look at what could have happened during the series. All Gambit wants to know is, "Why?"
  • Odd Man Out: Romance/Drama. 14A. Purdey already has two men in her life. Is there room for a third?
  • Two Hours: Suspense/Drama. 14A. Trapped. Injured. Surrounded by the enemy. How long can three people hold out?
  • Five Things That Never Happened to The New Avengers...and One That Did: Drama/Angst. 14A. Exactly what it says on the tin. A series of AU vignettes capped by one "canonical" story, all featuring our favourite trio. Character-focussed. On the sad/bittersweet side. Mind the rating.
  • John, I'm Only Dancing: Supernatural/Drama. 14A. John Steed keeps secrets. Some of them could make the whole world come crashing down. But there are times when even the worst of the worst must be told. It wouldn't be fair otherwise. Rated for some violence.
