Merchandise
Despite TNA's short run, there was a great deal of tie-in merchandise immediately licensed for the series (and a few unlicensed
products as well, courtesy of some more enterprising bootleggers). By no means do I have all the examples of TNA's foray into the retail world
(and those Purdey marshmallows would be awfully stale by now), and much of it has been logged elsewhere, namely Mike Noon's excellent Dead Duck.
So I've selected a few of the best pieces and tried to give you some close-up scans of the packaging and such that I haven't seen elsewhere.
- Purdey's TR7 by Dinky: Complete with the little back cartoon. The Steed's Jaguar that was
advertised had a few models and prototypes made, but never made it to market.
View
- Gambit's Jaguar XJS by Corgi: A much more recent release by Corgi, complete with the little Gambit figure.
View
- Steed's Range Rover by Corgi: Released at the same time as Gambit's Jaguar. Between the two companies we've got a set of TNA
vehicles.
View
- Gambit's XJS model kit by Revell: Although the picture on the front doesn't look
like Gambit's car, really. No shots of the assembled one--I'm afraid to break the shrink wrap!
View
- Purdey's TR7 model kit by Revell: From the same set, with some nice shots of Purdey.
View
- Purdey Mirror: A very rare piece, it was licenced by J.T. Designs from The Avengers (Film & TV) Enterprises, but alas, they still managed to spell Purdey as "Purdy".
